(4). Area coloured Green on Plan "D"; edged Pink

colour on Plan "E".

Whereas it was formerly proposed that all

filling-in and other works falling within

the area shewn coloured Green on Plan "D"

be executed at the sole cost of the Govern-

-ment and that all works entailed in carrying

out that portion of the Scheme falling outside

the boundaries of the said Area coloured Green

be defrayed from the General Fund (Praya East

Reclamation Account); it has been decided that

Government be allotted the Area shewn edged

Pink on Plan "E", but that Government be

treated in respect of that Area as all other

participants in the Scheme.

(5).Whereas Plan *D* shews a proposed road crossing

Morrison Hill Ares to Heard Street plan "E" shows

the proposed road in extension of the road from

Happy Valley and at right angles to the line of

the new sea front.

The new alighment is a decided improvement on

that formerly proposed,

Whereas it was formerly proposed that the Alteration of

all Existing Drains be defrayed from the General Fund

(Praya East Reclamation Account). Sir Paul Chater

strongly demurred at the cost of the Diversion of the

Stormwater Drainage at present discharging into Bowring-

-ton Canal being debited to that Account and considered

Government should bear the cost of this diversion. It

was ultimately agreed that whilst Government would bear

the cost of the Construction of the necessary large twin

stormwater culverts from Happy Valley to the Existing

Sea
